This project brings together Sri Lanka and South Africa. It features Veronique Reagon, a contemporary dancer from South Africa with a style influenced by classical ballet, African contemporary, classical contemporary, Spanish, gymnastics, and Capoeira (a Brazilian martial art form and cultural practice with African roots). The song explores what it means to find a soulmate, someone who moves in rhythm with you. The singer Veenath Sathsara’s melodious voice is second to none, while musician Chaminda Peiris is a rare talent, a true magician in the world of music.

The music video was filmed in South Africa, while Chaminda directed the entire story remotely from Sri Lanka via MS Teams. This song will always remind me of what it means to create art with soul, art that truly speaks. No machine can replace that experience or the joy that comes with it.
